Campsites

Here is a list of campsites recommended by Pathfinder & Adventurer Club Leaders. Please note these sites have not been checked by the Children's Ministries Department and are shared here in good faith and with the expectation that all Clubs will conduct appropriate risk assessments for any camping venue. Please add any more in the comments that you would recommend.

  • Nambour SDA Church grounds, Nambour - 5 acres of camping, creeks

  • Dunethin Rick Scout Camp, Yandina

  • Murphy's Creek Escape, Toowoomba

  • Sharp Park, Canungra

  • Canungra Show Grounds, Canungra

    Here is a list of service ideas shared by Leaders at the 2016 Leaders Day at Mt Gravatt: - Piggy banks to save for a goal (such as safe water, sanitation, chickens, etc) - Gift vouchers - Retirement home visits - Clean-up Australia Day - "I Can 58" < an initiative of Life Switch involving the collection of canned and non-perishable foods that were then delivered to areas of need - Chaplaincy Fundraiser (could do an honour, such as cycling) - Volunteer at Weet-Bix Tryathlon - Bike honour using donations of old bikes and then give the fixed up bikes to needy families - Bootcamp (health) with kids and communities What service ideas have you done with children in your ministry area?
