Love More.

Parents, grandparents, carers, immediate family, extended family, and church members can play a part in helping a child developed a firm spiritual foundation. We believe the greatest influence starts in the home. Click the links on the sidebar for information to help "train up a child in the way they should go" Prov 22:6

Small Beginnings | 0 - 3

From the moment a new little person joins the family there are all sorts of challenges and joys!  Children from 0-3 are undergoing the most significant growth and learning, and their abilities change rapidly through this time.  Now is the prime time to be introducing them to Jesus through nature, play, stories and most importantly: relationship.

'He tends His flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in His arms
and carries them close to His heart; He gently leads those that have young"
Isaiah 40:11

Learning to Stand | 4 - 9

By the time a child is 4 they are getting school ready and are developing their own identity.  During these Primary years they will be cementing foundations of character and forming their understanding of who God is and what He means to them.

'God requires parents to bring up their children to know Him and to respect His claims; they are to train their little ones, as the younger members of the Lord's family, to have beautiful characters and lovely tempers, that they may be fitted to shine in the heavenly courts.""
E G White, Testimoneis for the Church vol 5

Stepping Out | 10 - 14

The 10-14 age is full of fun and challenges as greater independence is gained on their journey to young adulthood.  It is important that these young people are supported, encouraged, challenged and given oppotunities to use their gifts and talents for God's glory.  During this time they are defining their worldview and personal beliefs, and acceptance and accountability are important.

"Do not let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity."
1 Timothy 4:12

Learning to Fly | 15+

With growing independence comes responsibility - and the opportunity to spread your wings!  There are many options for our young people to get together and enjoy each other's company whilst strengthening their relationship with Christ and developing character and skills that will serve them for life.  See SQ Youth for all the Conference Youth events.
